Dr. Catherine Daniel graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2016. Right after graduation, she entered the workforce as a mixed-animal veterinarian, working in various rural communities around Ontario until finding her forever home in Emergency Medicine in June of 2020.
She relocated to Vancouver Island in April of 2021, joining the CIVEH team full-time. Her professional interests include internal medicine and trauma cases, as well as behaviour. She is also working towards being more confident with ultrasound and hopes to one day be able to offer this service internally.
Dr. Cat shares her home in Nanaimo with her 2 cats, Iggy and Gucci, and her 4-year-old Australian Shepherd, Izzy. When not working, Dr. Cat enjoys hiking with Izzy, camping, scuba diving, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
